This was done in your name

This is a disturbing diary, so I am warning you up front.

A report out of Iraq this past week by Dahr Jamail highlights another stunningly horrific result of the illegal use of white phosphorus and chemical weapons in Fallujah by "coalition forces" back in late 2004 and 2005.

Babies born in Fallujah are showing illnesses and deformities on a scale never seen before, doctors and residents say.

The new cases, and the number of deaths among children, have risen after "special weaponry" was used in the two massive bombing campaigns in Fallujah in 2004.

After denying it at first, the Pentagon admitted in November 2005 that white phosphorous, a restricted incendiary weapon, was used a year earlier in Fallujah.

In addition, depleted uranium (DU) munitions, which contain low-level radioactive waste, were used heavily in Fallujah. The Pentagon admits to having used 1,200 tons of DU in Iraq thus far.

Depleted Uranium has Destroyed the Genetic Future of Iraq

Wed May 28, 2008 at 05:06:38 PM PDT

It’s not just the U.S. military, and it's not just Iraq. The U.K. has also used depleted uranium in both Iraq and Afghanistan; NATO forces have used it in Kosovo, and Israel allegedly used it in Lebanon and on the Palestinians.

The use of depleted uranium (DU) munitions by the U.S. military may lead to a death toll far higher than that from the nuclear bombs dropped at the end of World War II.

A waste product from the enrichment of uranium, DU, contains nearly one-third the radioactive isotopes of uranium that occurs naturally. DU is generally used in armor-piercing ammunition; despite its classification as a weapon of mass destruction, and subsequent banning by the United Nations.

Mon May 26, 2008 at 06:56:22 AM PDT

Once again Veterans are living with the apathy of the country they served!

Remember Agent Orange or the many other ailments and Government using Military Personal to test the effects from Nuclear Explosions and Drugs, probably not!

Look them up, or search out the Vets, using this technology, who are still trying to Educate you too!

Remember the 1st Gulf War?

How about the Veterans from, with questions about, their rapidly deteriorating health after serving, many having died since, coming under the obscure name of 'Gulf War Syndrom', look that one up as well!

Gulf War syndrome linked to chemical exposure

Mon Mar 10, 2008 at 08:48:45 PM PDT

CHICAGO (AFP) - Nearly two decades after veterans of the 1991 Gulf War came home complaining of odd illnesses, enough evidence has been gathered to determine that many of them were sickened by chemical exposure, a study published Monday concluded.

Nearly two decades ago, an American-led coalition of 700,000 troops drove the invading forces of Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait and returned the Kuwaiti oil oligarchy to power. The Persian Gulf War, fought in the early months of 1991, temporarily settled by main force a regional quarrel over oil resources. The war also generated a number of adverse short- and long-term consequences, some of them too well-known to need repeating here. The war was a disaster for the Iraqi military forces and also for the Iraqi civilian population, who suffered the political social and health hazards of living in a war zone and under a brutal dictatorship.

Among the many varieties of evil fruit born from this conflict was a mysterious syndrome afflicting about 250,000 American Persian Gulf War veterans with chronic, multi-symptom health problems.

Awakening Emotional Instincts

Women have such a capacity for protecting the future, if they are aware, if they have an idea of the great worth of their contribution, and most importantly if they recognize and honor their obligation. We must mobilize the instinct of mothers to die for their children's safety and future. That instinct is within all women and is merely hormonally awakened after giving birth, this instinct, however, is not solely dependent upon giving birth. The human child, the future of humanity, is brought into this world extremely vulnerable. No other animal takes as long as we do to develop into independence. This undeniable reality has created the atmosphere for men to be able access this same "maternal" instinct.

All animals have a survival instinct, this is an individual instinct which extends to the confines of the community. The root of all of our problems lie in the boundaries of that community. The boundaries which trap the communal instinct of survival need to be completely and utterly torn down. If we cannot ensure the survival of the human race, we cannot ensure the survival of life on Earth in all it's manifestations.

Depleted Uranium debunkers - the trees and the forest

Sat Oct 20, 2007 at 09:09:59 AM PDT

My wife and I have included a concern about depleted uranium in our writings now going back almost five years. Recently - as members of a Google group that focuses on Veteran Health issues in Washington State - we received an email  from another military veteran group member which included the following:

Since you are a former AF brat, wife of a Viet Vet and mother to soldiers still serving, I would appreciate it if you would contact me. You have been gravely mislead by a bunch of frauds about DU.

What made you even go looking for them (or did they come to you) -- you are the perfect person for them to make a dupe as they have made Congressman McDermott who was sent a forged document that is purported to be from 1943.

The Words I Learned in the Reign of George W. Bush

As you read this article, you might think that I was pretty green and naïve back in 2000. But Dubya has opened my eyes to many things. Let me list some of the words I learned under his reign:

Deadly Combinations.

Shock & Awe: Toxic Legacy... for our Troops

Wed Aug 08, 2007 at 02:29:27 AM PDT

Right before the Iraqi invasion in March 2003, Donald Rumsfeld proclaimed that the "Shock and Awe" campaign - that would signal the start of the invasion - would be a military campaign "... for the history books." [or some such drivel] Although the Iraqis would prove a resilient people, it was an effective tool of terror. The Oxford Research Group claimed that the campaign was responsible for killing an estimated 6,616 Iraqi civilians. Unfortunately, more than 4-years later, the "Shock & Awe" campaign is now being attributed to another growing list of victims... our troops.

Last month, an Iraqi official blamed America’s use of depleted uranium in its "Shock & Awe" campaign on a burgeoning "surge" in cancer cases. Now, the Defense Department faces an October deadline to provide a comprehensive report to Congress on the health effects of such weapons.

No kidding? It will be the slow bake and slower death than the Auschwitz ovens in the hot desert for the the next 4 million years for the Iraqis and their occupiers. Unlike Auschwitz, everyone gets burned!

Iraq: The Death of Reason

NEW FILM EXPOSES EVANGELICAL HYPOCRISY IN WAR SUPPORT AND OUTLINES BUSH ADMINISTRATION DECEPTIONS/WAR CRIMES

Iraq: The Death of Reason has now been released to the public by Voice in the Wilderness productions. This stunning new film attacks the Evangelical Church’s error in supporting the war in Iraq. Produced and directed by Raymond Schwab and Elliott Nesch of Beit Shalom Ministries, Iraq: The Death of Reason addresses just war theory, Abu Ghraib torture, depleted uranium, the deceptions sold to the American public by the Bush administration, false flag operations, war profiteers and calls the Christian church to reconsider their position, since prior to invasion 79% of evangelicals supported military action.

I subscribed to a News Catch site some 4 to 6 months ago to see one: if it would give me any information on Depleted Uranium as to any articles popping up, and two: if it really worked as described.

Well for about the first couple of months I was getting report E's that were stating nothing was being reported, than those stopped, and I had forgotten about it.

Than this morning, before heading to work, I received the following:

Depleted Uranium and the Price of an Argument

Thu May 03, 2007 at 11:26:27 AM PDT

The excerpt below is a small piece of the new book I'm close to finishing, "Without a Shot Fired: The Dustin Brim Story."  This is a heart-wrenching true story - about Dustin Brim - a 22 yr. Old U.S. Army soldier that died shortly after being deployed to Iraq - and some stuff called Depleted Uranium.  It is not my nature to share my writings premature of the final draft.  However, due to personal reasons, I have made the decision to open a crack into the book so that no one forgets what has happened and what is important.   It is my genuine hope that your heart is touched, your spirit inspired, and your will ignited.  --Lonnie

Soldier health scare back in news

Lori Brim cradled her son in her arms for three months before he died at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington.

Here is another Travesty going under the radar of what is, once again, happening to our Military Personal, Extremely Little Mention of DU and Denial by the Military and the Civilian Leadership if it is mentioned!

Where have I heard that before, oh ya Defoliants in 'Nam, and my brothers who Suffered and Died before it was admitted to, sheepishly, and still not being taken care as it should be!
